Mark Hoffman's 2013 Kentucky Derby Selections

Normandy Invasion #5 (Brown/Castellano) 12-1

I was looking for a horse that fit the Kentucky Derby profile,
this Chad Brown trainee only shows a maiden victory.... but
has a running style that cries out for the Derby distance, especially
sharp this past week training at Churchill Downs.... he has extreme
value with his morning line odds and gets my slight top pick to upset.

Orb #16 (McGaughey/Rosario) 7-2

One of the most "hyped" horses in recent memory, the hot jockey and
legendary trainer may vie for favoritism when all is said and done, has
improved each race, rock solid going the route distances and would be no
surprise winning this race and getting Shug that elusive Kentucky Derby
victory!
