DEE TEE STABLES .......heating up for the summer!

The summer heat has sure gone up a notch this past week and also has my little racing partnership which after three years continues to grow with addition of several new runners pointed to different spots throughout the country. It's been a year since my last update and since then we've gotten four new horses with two different trainers and our original runner with a foal and another one on the way. Dee Tee Stables continues to move forward and the best is yet to come!

First I'll mention our "original" Dee Tee runner; Sumwonlovesyou who was retired after trying a comeback to races off of lengthy layoff just over a year ago. She was matched with the sire - Purim shortly after her retirement and gave birth to a filly in late April of this spring. About a month or so later, Sumwonlovesyou was bred to the sire- Medalist and will be due next spring with her second foal. She was our first runner and still is referred to as the "Queen" of Dee Tee Stable.

Next comes our "iron runner" of the stable and second member of the group; Kickin N Screamin. Now with 27 career starts for us, she has three victories with eight second place finishes and three spots in the show position. Earning over $50,000 for the stable, she continues at the lower level claiming ladder with most of her races at Philadelphia Park the last six months. She always puts in her best effort and has found a new dimension in her running style being closer to the pace than her earlier in her career from well off the pace. Even though she can be a "handful" at times, KNS always put forth an honest effort.

One of our "local" runners is with trainer Gary Sciacca on the NYRA circuit and his name is Lloydobler. This three year old son of Smarty Jones has knocked heads with such runners as; Rule the Night, I've Gotthefever, Graysonia and Cocalero. Recently, he was gelded and hasn't started in two months. We may point him for a start before Saratoga and hopefully will get at least a race or two sometime during the upcoming Spa meet.

Meanwhile back at Philly Park, two other three year old runners (from the same partnership with Lloydobler) race for trainer Chuck Simon under our stable colors; Lime Green & Slate Blue. The another gelded son of Smarty Jones; Redboard King just broke his maiden last Sunday going five furlongs sprinting on turf. It was only his fourth career start and there are several different options at Philadelphia Park to race in the next few weeks. Also, we have a unraced three year old filly from Northern Afleet named; Missus Mayflower. She's getting very close to her debut soon and she'll start in a easy spot for "team" Simon with Chuck's east coast assistant trainer; Susan.

The most recent runner of our stable is a two year old N.Y. bred filly named; Ausable Chasm. This daughter of sprinter; Hook and Ladder just got her "gate card" and after a few more workouts, may be ready for the races soon. Both, she and Lloydobler will be pointing for races at Saratoga this upcoming meet. Meanwhile, the other three "D.T." runners with Chuck Simon will be racing at Philadelphia Park . Dee Tee Stables has made it to the starting gate with 6 different runners for 54 lifetime starts - 5 wins, 16 second place finishes and 7 show spots with 25 different jockeys at 13 different tracks. What started as a small, just for fun partnership and grown into an experience of a lifetime. The Dee Tee Stable will continue to "heat" up the summer and the months ahead!
