Mark Hoffman's Saratoga selections - day#17 (8/11) Record (50-156) $331.00

Race #1

Glory Chaser - recently broke maiden at bottom level in last jump, taking the lightly raced horse here with the runners entered.

Flying Sappho - may be the morning line in this spot......but, only has ONE victory in 31 lifetime starts, a very tough horse to select "on top" with that record!

Exotic & multi-race runners : Song for Pupcake - Hunny of a Tour

Race #2

One Note Samba - nice return off layoff in last start, sharp maiden breaker here last summer going this distance, bullet work for this start.

Zone Breaker - wire to wire in debut maiden breaker, meets winners today.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Regal Coyote - Wise Stop

Race #3

Albany Road - drops another notch and meets a really easy group today, now or never with this gelding.

Ill Senatore - so close.....but, yet so far having three straight defeats by a total of less than a half length, MAYBE today gets the job done.

Exotic & multi-race runners : The Cuff Shooter - Roulette Winner

Race #4

Di Colas Officer - caught at the wire going a mile downstate in last start, adds lasix today for low percentage connections.

Song of Broadway - 2nd best in maiden claimer over the track last time out, fits in this spot.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Julie's Ina Frenzy - Dixie Rocks

Race #5

Zealous Boy - rolling late when altered course first time weeds in last start, stretches out from that turf sprint to route today versus somewhat weak group.

Seattle Mission - starting to look like the "ultimate" money burner! will be favored again today & probably will get beat yet again.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Lubash - Good to Be Me

Race #6

Recharged - a first time starter from Linda Rice for her father, turf sprinting = winner's circle as you know.

Mission Mike Clark - lone effort was good last Fall at Calder, barn looking for first winner of the meet yet.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Beijing Blues - College Grad

Race #7

Sean Avery - very lightly raced 4 yr.old could be considered a "horse for the course", three of his five career starts were here with a victory & two 3rd place finishes, returns off layoff today.

Tall Poppi - drops to easier level today after two no factor starts in last two efforts, has bullet work for today's start.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Ramsgate - Spanky Fischbein

Race #8

Bird Run - gets the timid call in wide open short field event, has raced well here with a win & a 2nd at this distance in similar company.

Eye of the Leopard - former Queen's Plate winner in Canada (2009) has only sprinted in one start this year, had a good effort on "real" dirt at Fort Erie last year going a route distance.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Tranquil Manner - Atomic Rain

Race #9

Circleboundbay - come roaring from dead last in maiden breaker last start at Churchill Downs, needs to get the perfect trip.

Ez Passer - even effort first time weeds turf sprinting, stretches out today.
