Mark Hoffman's Saratoga selections - day #26 (8/21) : Record 70 - 240 ($501.00)

Race #1

Good Prospect - gets the slimmest pick here in wide open race, sharp effort with big speed figure in last start.

Pretty Boy Freud - similar effort and figure as top selection last time out in same company, distance.....but on "firm" turf.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Wrtingonthewall - Longboarder

Race #2

Brilliant Speed - second time out for trainer who improves runners with this angle, also adds lasix today, square price selection.

Joe Vann - scratched from Thursday's spot for here, also should improve with addition of blinkers today.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Curlinello - Striding Ahead

Race #3

Good to be Me - back versus maidens after showing pace in statebred stake last time out, tough here today.

Elsie's Warrior - last seen over a year ago here in the same spot just coming up short, may need a race off that "double bar" layoff!

Exotic & multi-race runners : We Need V L T's - Dirt Track Demon

Race #4

Callide Valley - drops to this bottom level after showing speed off Fall layoff in last start, this colt was well thought of last year as a juvenile.

Talk to Nick - goes out first time for "super trainer" R.R. , let's see what he can do with this one!

Exotic & multi-race runners : Jimmy Vegas - Show Trial

Race #5

Thunder Perfect - no factor on the weeds in Saratoga debut, two starts back was right behind; Fly Down & First Dude.......two Travers contenders!

Morning Line - 2nd best in similar conditions last time out as the lukewarm favorite, Zito finally got "off the duck" on Thursday with a winner!

Exotic & multi-race runners : Keep me Informed - African Diamond

Race #6

Igoturback - gets the call here in head scratcher of statebred baby race, favorite may pay double digits here....it's that wide open!

Pin Number - uncoupled stablemate of top selection, your guess is as good as mine in this spot!

Exotic & multi-race runners : Tall Tale Teller - Seek to Destroy

Race #7

Bold Vindication - taking a shot with our man "Sciacca" here with runner that occasionally puts in a good effort, looking at some "pricey" ones today!

Into My Soul - the class dropper here, gets a group here he can handle.....if he remembers!

Exotic & multi-race runners : Kijo - Budget

Race #8

Mr. Tribute - even effort last time out as the very lukewarm favorite over the course, gets the edge off that effort.

Legend of Navarone - no factor in debut......but, should improve today from that first effort.

Exotic & multi-race runners : East of Danzig - Beachcombing

Race #9

Mystic Fever - gets the call here off that maiden victory in last start over the course, meets a rather easy group here.

Peace Fire - rallied at Colonial Downs in last start, gets blinkers on today.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Don Balcazio - Zapster

Race #10

Blind Luck - the top 3 yr.old filly in the country makes her east coast debut today and tries to wrap up her divisional honors with a win today, the question is; what kind of pace will she have to close into with her late kick?

Devil May Care - has bounce back well after her race against the boys in the Kentucky Derby with two straight grade I victories, win over the track & her running style MAY be a edge over my top selection.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Harve de Grace - Connie and Michael

Race #11

Peat Bay - just missed with good try turf sprinting downstate, bullet work for this start today.

Strolldownbroadway - even effort as the favorite last time out, one more chance today!

Exotic & multi-race runners : Recharged - Well Suited

Hoffy's "Horse to Beat" play of the day (22) 8-8-1 : PEAT BAY (11th)
