Mark Hoffman's Saratoga selections - day #24 (8/19) : Record 64-221 ($466.80)

Race #1

Go Go Pink - liked this Todd Pletcher runner last time.... but was scratched when the race came off-the-turf, meets a even "softer" field today than on August 4th.

Opera Heroine - ships in from out-of-town for trainer; "Doc" Fisher, fits very well in this spot.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Bella Attrice - Blue Hill Bay

Race #2

Zayat Stables (entry) - a firster from Asmussen (Justin Phillip) & Joe Vann 2nd time out for Pletcher with blinkers on today.

Rock Hard Nicky - a Rock Hard Ten debut runner for Nick Zito, who is "winless" with 20 starters for the meet at the half way point.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Emcee - It's Truly Ahvee

Race #3

McVictory - one of two Pletcher runners in this race, most consistent of this group and could wrap up an ALL Todd Pletcher early pick 3.

Floating Heart - the "other" Pletcher trainee who goes from polytrack to dirt today, also as consistent as top choice.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Manitoba Miss - Million Seller

Race #4

Dance Floor Maniac - 2nd behind D'bigcat (two time winner here) & then shipped to Finger Lakes to win an allowance race, sharp right now!

Fuzzy's Story - 6 out of 10 in-the-money this year and has been doing very well at Finger Lakes , good spot here.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Lion's Lair - Always On the Move

Race #5

It's My Party - ran an odd race in debut when moved wide for the stretch drive and settled for the runner-up position, steps up slightly today.

Dawly - first time starter from Shadwell Stable, watch the board.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Thankfulness - Wicky Jones

Race #6

In Trust We Trust - steps up off the claim for trainer with 33% mark with this move, gets the slight call here.

Star of New York - tired late as the lukewarm favorite last time out at this level, will be there again....as usual.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Six Flings - W.W.'s Lady's Man

Race #7

Medieval Sword - a first time starter from former turf star; Artie Schiller, a very wide open 2yr.old turf maiden event.

Deciphering Dreams - no factor in debut on the grass, stretches out for second go around.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Pin - Hard Two Imagine

Race #8

Straight Story - changed racing tactics last time out in grade I event taking back off the front end, may be back on the lead this time versus statebreds.

Banrock - hard knocking statebred just missed versus open company at Monmouth Park in last start, winner of this event last year & no worst than 2nd in six lifetime starts on the Spa weeds.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Spa City Fever - Minnie Punt

Race #9

I've Got Speed - narrowly missed downstate turf sprinting last time out, his late kick will be felt if the speed collapses.

Never Content - even effort in restricted turf sprint here in last start, fits well in this spot.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Delano - Lawdy Me

Race #10

Such Time as This - this Delaware shipper drops to this 25k N2L condition, crafty trainer may have found good spot.

Mythical Yarn - no factor at this level last time out while "rank" & tight quarters early on, willing to throw out that effort.

Exotic & multi-race runners : Pretty Cozzy - Wise Choice

Hoffy's "Horse to Beat" play of the day (7-20) - Go Go Pink (1st)
