Saratoga - day #14 (8/7) selections

Race #1

Mixed Up – classy veteran may have lost a step… but won this race last year, very wide open jump race.
Class Shadow – relatively new to the hurdles game (career start in March) sports nice record & meets tougher jumpers today.
Salford City – Irish bred makes stateside debut, gets blinkers on for first start here.
Superfecta include: Dark Equation

Race #2

Hesogoodwithmoney – speedy sort two for three in this condition, out last the front running types?
Japengo – wire to wire in last sprinting, but has back route form & may lay off the leaders.
Digger – claimed out of last race, won impressively here last year at 10-1.

Race #3

Abby Morgan – gets the call in god awful race, won in the slop here opening week.
Royal Skip – won at a huge price going a route in off-the-turf event here, stablemate drops after dull efforts.
Carolina Fuego – exotics factor at best, only two lifetime wins out of 21 starts.

Race #4

Special Detail (Longshot) – nothing in debut on dirt…but bred for the turf both sides, upset special at a price.
High Cry – Pletcher firster with turf breeding on the bottom.
She’s Got Thunder – well bred firster from barn that’s good with two year old runners.

Race #5

Justwhistledixie – West Point debut with bullet work and rich breeding history, could be one of those “good ones”.
Littleprincessemma – tired in debut, will be tighter second time out.
Selva – first time starter from sharp barn, should be a square price.

Race #6

Victory Sign – winless for a while…but doesn’t meet any “killers” here, new face of the group.
Lucky Will – closed last time out in non-winners of two event, jumps class here.
Dockmaster – rallied in off-the-turf event here, broke maiden on the weeds two back.
Superfecta include: Romp

Race #7

Fast Learner – closed well in victory going a route in last, turns back to turf sprint today.
North Ocean Drive – came from the clouds in maiden debut on the weeds, claimed out of that race.
Panicking Petunia – comes off Fall layoff, scored with this one in her debut last summer at 23-1, may need a race.
Superfecta include: Dose of Reality

Race #8

Theartofcompromise – big maiden win here in the slop opening day, right back versus these.
Trust Nobody – goes out for Levine & Valente today, back versus statebreds again.
Minot Light – turf to dirt, first on this surface against own statebreds.
Supeefecta include: Fortune Faded

Race #9

I Lost My Choo (Best Bet) – won the grade III – Virginia Oaks last time out, towers over this field.
Western Slang – held on by a neck last time out, second at best here.
Study Aboard – tries the weeds for the first time...tough spot for that.

Race #10

Silver Timber – back class sticks out with this runner, two wins in three starts here.
Timberah – no factor in last while steadying, tough if runs back to previous start.
Elusive Fox – in the money three out of five on the weeds, figures here.
Superfecta include: Baxter
