Race #1

Shaami – claimed out of last start by owners who like to play, weakened late two back downstate at this level & condition.
Ya Think – even effort in last start at distance & level, trainer looking for first victory of the year.
Monsooned Malabar – my Best Bet last Monday had no excuse going a mile, last chance today!
Superfecta include: Ectoplasm

Race #2

Ducane – full brotherr to grade III stakes winning LaTraviata, could be a “monster” like her.
Majhood – first time starter from Shadwell Stable, trainer gunning for his first Spa title.
Big Flirt or Just a Coincidence – both crossed entered Saturday, may opt here.

Race #3

Grasburg – never got involved last time out with buried trip, one more chance today with smarter ride.
Solvent (Longshot) – wide rally just behind top pick, trainer having career meet.
Alexandros – game effort at a price in last, may get same trip today.

Race #4

American’s Dreaming – first time stateside for Jimmy Toner here, just missed in Irish debut in April.
There Are Rainbows / River Fancy (entry) – both Pletcher runners seem to be pointed toward the turf, like the 1A a bit better.
Scintillation – rallied with a rush after stumbling at the start, should be square price again.
Saver: Theatrical Madam

Race #5

Love for a Price (Best Bet) – gets the call here in very bad statebred maiden turf contest, trainer gets off the “duck” here.
Walkabout Winner – comes off Fall layoff, nice thing about her….she’s only had one career start compared to the rest here.
Distinctive Doc – rallied for third in last two, best of the rest here.

Race #6

Me Love – interesting shipper from Laurel, trainer may get the job done here at a price.
Amanwella – took all the money last start getting nailed at the wire late, the one to beat.
Critical – even effort at Monmouth for debut, bullet work at Dutrow’s home base in Aqueduct.
Superfecta include: Pearl of Valor

Race #7

Secret Gypsy – set the pace last time out in the grade I - Prioress at Belmont, winner over the track last year & this is a much easier spot.
Indian Delight – sharp victory versus allowance foes last time out, trainer also having a career meet.
Starship Cruiser – statebred faces much tougher today….but, is a consistent sort (6 for 7 ITM) this year.

Race #8

Mousse Au Chocolat – very rough trip in stateside debut, goes for the Pletcher barn today & gets lasix.
Sea Chanter – Pletcher’s “other” runner, on the lead in overnight stake & got held up on the turn, tough customer.
Blitzen Too – got hung outside from tough post in last, statebred faces tougher today for top connections.
Superfecta include: Remarkable Remy

Race #9

Nistle’s Crunch – was no match last time out on dirt versus “you know who”, back on grass his best surface.
Vacation – made his debut a year ago today, turf grinder will be closing late.
Ready’s Echo – makes his grass debut after dead heat 3rd in the Belmont Stakes, comes from very far back.
Superfecta include: Mr. Maccool

Race #10

Casanova Move – sharp maiden victory over the track, trainer good in graded stake races.
Mani Bhavan – led wire to wire in the Adirondack Stakes the prep race for this, won’t get 8-1 today!
Collegiate – disappointed in the Schuylerville on opening day, makes amends on dry track.
Superfecta include: Jardin

Race #11

Fancy Footsteps – sharp on the weeds with speed out-of-town, gets the job done versus theses.
Talented Princess – back in claimers after marathon try at Philly Park, no early foot.
Positive Prospect – two for two on the grass….but that was turf sprinting, consistent sort.
Keltish Lass – even effort no factor in off-the-turf event last out, can get a piece here.
