Saratoga - day #24 (8/18) selections

(55-210) $350.20

Race #1

Mor Chances – drew away with authority in the slop going shorter, speed in this race sets his chances up good.
Prince of Peace – another that will benefit from a quick pace, even third in overnight stake last time out.
Storm Boot Gold – old favorite of mine will take them as far as he can go, claimed out of last race.

Race #2

Persistently – Phipps runner finished with interest in debut, gets tough inside post going seven panels though.
State Treasure – a firster from Neil Howard bred to go long; may not be well met in debut so, watch the board.
Amanwella – very lukewarm favorite in debut on the weeds, player here.
Superfecta include: Heckuva Hunter

Race #3

Skills Coach (Longshot) – impressive maiden breaker here going this distance, well spotted versus this group today.
Numaany – no factor on the weeds last time out, going two-turns on dirt for him is better.
Tizbig – set the fractions going this distance in overnight 3yr.old stake in last start, pace factor again.

Race #4

Matador Run – runner-up as the favorite last time out at Monmouth, gets the slight edge here.
Land Grant – West Point firster that is bred to run all day, fair works for debut.
Stomp – chased Join in the Dance in debut for 2nd, may gun from the rail.

Race #5

Anjorie – a Dutrow firster (who is having a quiet meet) siblings include a pretty good turf runner from a few years back; Quatre Dix Neuf.
Symbol – Hushion debut owned by legendary trainer; John Nerud, related to “hard hitting” statebred Democrat.
R Betty Graybull – Jersey connections unveil this N.Y. bred who is half-sister to Brooklyn Bobbie.
Superfecta include: Poof Poof

Race #6

Valtrus (Best Bet) – just missed in last three on the turf, stranger of the group fits well here.
Cobblestone Way – 3yr.old filly tries the boys today off of maiden turf sprint win….interesting.
Dirty Water Dog – statebred faces open company today, well spotted here.
Superfecta include: Dancing Tin Man

Race #7

Alabama Man – showed speed in maiden special weight turf route in last start, drops into claimer & cuts back in distance.
Maven – lots of chances so far….but the cut back in distance and his early speed might help.
Trip to the Bank – gets trainer change today, led the way in only turf attempt.
Superfecta include: Ridge Royale

Race #8

Grasberg – no factor in overnight stake last time out, back in versus statebreds today.
Stepaside – sharp non-winners of one last time out over the course, tough if he can draw into the race.
Thunderestimate – when last seen had reeled off four straight wins in a row….that was over a year ago! Physical problems most likely the cause & returns today for elder Martin.
Superfecta include: Half Moon Street

Race #9

Just as Well – “international” good thing last time out in the betting making Spa debut, rallied too late going shorter & will love this distance.
Summer Patriot – proven marathon turf runner has a win over the course as favorite in last, the one to beat.
Biggerbadderbetter – even effort in last, last victory was at a mile & half on the weeds.
Superfecta : Codeword

Race #10

Irish Bride – lukewarm pick here from her early speed, weakened on dirt going longer in last.
Dance Lesson – throw out off-the-turf dirt try in last start, may hook up with top pick.
Frisky Rose – even efforts put her in the mix here, especially the exotics.
Not Now – back on the weeds after maiden break in claimer last start, your call here.
