Saratoga - day #21 (8/15) selections

Race #1

Fort Apache Star – looked good in winning allowance test last time out over the track, doesn’t meet any world beaters here.
Casual – consistent until recent effort at Delaware, fits with theses.
Cielo Song – claimed out of last turf sprinting, back to dirt today.
Superfecta include: Strummer

Race #2

Bobcat Brody (Longshot) – second best behind repeat winner Hawkwood in last, taking a price in this difficult race.
At Attention – rallied last start for 2nd, lukewarm warm at best as the favorite here.
Phobia – no factor in turf route race last start, may be the controlling speed here.
Superfecta include: Estimator

Race #3

Main Street – placed first going a mile downstate, sharp in all her tries.
New York Citi – rides five race win streak at the Finger Lakes going into this race, wouldn’t be surprise to see her claimed here.
Oniyome – the one taken down in top picks race, still eligible for non-winners of one race condition though.

Race #4

Red Seven (Best Bet) – drops to statebred maiden claimer after no factor in last two, very wide open race.
Contessa (entry) – Larcenous Lady pressed early while fading late in debut, jock switch today & drops; Runnin On Guilt broke slowly no factor in debut.
Rice (entry) – Saturdaynitesandy firster from legendary N.Y. bred runner; Irish Mama out of Gold Token 14% first time out.

Race #5

Rollers – gets the edge here if this one comes off the grass, may be alright on grass too.
Don’t Fooli Houli – sharp in all four grass tries, the one to beat from the inside.
Pano’s Love – finally put it together last time out and won in 14th try, can he do it again???
Superfecta include: Thunder Buddy

Race #6

Vinnie Van Go – took early money in debut and rallied late in the slop, the board will be the “key” today.
Fiddler’s Afleet – favorite in same race as above; set the pace & weakened late, switching tote roles today?
Brazen Action – a firster from John Kimmel, watch the board.

Race #7

Stealin’ Kisses – set the pace on soft turf in the grade II – Lake George last time out, tries much easier & turf sprint today.
Jilli’s Cape – solid turf sprinting form, fits well with this group.
Canadian Ballet – set the pace in statebred overnight stake at Belmont, mustn’t duel with top pick.
Superfecta include: Fancy Diamond

Race #8

I Lost My Choo – scratched from easier spot last week when race came off the turf, not a lock here…but very good.
Rosa Grace – unknown European connections; but does show good form first time stateside, may be a price.
Namaste’s Wish – was gaining ground on top pick last time out, no early foot.
Superfecta include: Much Obliged

Race #9

Mott (entry) – Evolutionist or Herr Mozart if on grass & Stormalory if on dirt.
Plecther (entry) – same here; Hype on the “proper surface” & Take the Points making his second career start on dirt.
Relatively Ready – tries the grass after no factor debut on dirt.
Superfecta include: Precious Beans

Stealin’ Kisses (7th) with Lost My Choo (8th)
