Race #1

Bazzoom – a NY bred trained by California based Doug O’Neill, turns back in distance after no threat 2nd going a mile at Belmont in last.
Driven by Success – sharp maiden win as favorite for new trainer, meets winners today.
Borrowing Limit – no threat 3rd last time behind two winners over the track, “key” race status.
Superfecta include: Dazzling Derek

Race #2

Five Star Chowdair – distant 2nd behind run away winner; Paradise Playgirl in debut, gets the call here with that effort.
Noble Action – a firster from the “hot” Linda Rice barn.
La Concerto – Asmussen debut this one for Padua Stables.
Superfecta include: Quiet Sky

Race #3

Brave Victory (entry) – rallied in the slop on opening day just missing, entrymate Golden Jungle is an Ontario bred.
Lord Justice (entry) – scratched from 2nd on Saturday for this spot, might be well met, entrymate Forest Bell might do better on the turf.
Regal Ransom – well bred Darley firster, watch the board.

Race #4

Chartreux – no factor in the Schuylerville Stakes on opening day in the slop, gets blinkers on & back versus statebreds.
Hookin the Goods – sharp maiden breaker down at Belmont in July, bullet work for here.
Akilina – game in maiden breaker here last time out as the favorite, evenly matched group of 2yr.olds.

Race #5

Miss Seduction – debuts in claimer for Peachtree Stable & Pletcher, grass bred underneath.
Maram – local trainer sends out this first time starter, watch the board.
Jordan’s Song – Kentucky trainer debuts this one with sharp morning drills.

Race #6

Empress Indy – finished fast last time out at this level, blinkers on today.
Lightintheforest – nearly wired the field in last at 25-1, may out jump this group again.
High Draw – stumbled at start; but finished like a rocket just missing, this one lacks any early speed.
Superfecta include: Princess Westly

Race #7

Endymion (Longshot) – Clement has been sharp with 2yr.olds this year & this one’s going on the grass, watch the board.
Hype (entry) – Pletcher runner is out of More Than Ready who is a great turf sire, Swinging Bernie goes for one of his main owners.
Lime Rickey – weakened late as lukewarm favorite in last, trainer had huge “bomb” on the grass Saturday.

Race #8

Monsooned Malabar (Best Bet) – even effort last time out for new connections, same class but slightly shorter distance today.
Beyond the Trees – disappointed as the favorite turf sprinting in last, back to a mile today.
Iz – Lone Star Park shipper goes for new connections today, not much to beat in this group.
Superfecta include: Body Blows

Race #9

Raffie’s Treasure – sharp win in the slop going this distance in off-the-turf event, taken to upset again.
Ice Cool Kitty – one of those horses you love to hate! When she runs good…she’s great & when she runs bad…she’s bad!
Talking Treasure – sharp victory sprinting in last, a question at the distance here this time out.


Race #10

Kulka – drops after even effort last time out over the track, doesn’t meet much here.
Ultimate Event – drops into maiden claimer coming off March layoff for sharp connections, blinkers on today.
Misty Daylight – two previous grass efforts put her here.
Teak – first time starter for “jump” connections, may be a price here.
