Saratoga - day #15 (8/8) selections

Race #1

Ambling Rose – “outkicked” in the stretch last time out at this level, runs bests at this lowest level that the Spa offers.
Mutakaway – returns off of winter layoff half the price she was claimed for then, only third start this year compared to 19 in 2007, blinkers off.
Most Charming – rallied for 2nd last time out at this level, 7yr. mare sometimes runs a big one.
Superfecta include: Princess BG

Race #2

Mega – drops into maiden claimer and goes from polytrack to turf, A Pletcher trained & partial owned runner.
Misty Daylight – rallied in previous two on the turf, goes for 10th attempt to break maiden today.
Dove Nest – tries the grass for the first time after four straight 2nd place finishes on dirt, trainer 1 for 2 first time turf ($33.75)
Superfecta include: Flashbulb Breeze

Race #3

Sam P / Ravel (entry) – both drop out of stake races for easier spot to pick up a check, both were on the Derby Trail at one point in ’07.
Temporary Saint – drops back to level where he put it all together last winter, may lead the way in this nice route test.
Loose Leaf – won a restricted 3yr.old race here last summer, first start in quite some time.

Race #4

Hope Street (entry) – sharp victory here in claimer last time out, French Song claimed for cheaper here in the slop after even effort.
Earle’s First Girl – second best as the favorite last time out at this level downstate.
Trillian – sharp wire to wire maiden victory, DQ from purse money though.

Race #5

Warm Shower – turf breeding written all over this youngster.
Silver Reunion – no factor in dirt debut, trainer good with first time turf runners.
Dynaslew – another bred to the max with grass pedigree, nice baby race.

Race #6

Early Response (Longshot) – good trainer stats with these type, taking a “flyer” here with connections looking for their first Spa victory of ’08.
Bitabaz – drops into maiden claimer after being no factor in debut, gets lasix today.
Shifty Guy – a first time starter from the “Chief”, watch the board.
Superfecta include: Mr. Petersson

Race #7

Smokin Hero – runner-up in last two, will be the “chalk” again.
Remarkable Storm – rallied behind runaway winner last time out at 25-1, connections make him a price again.
Hot Pace – from the Sackatoga connections who found the winners circle on Wednesday afternoon.
Superfecta include: Paramedic

Race #8

Tejida – the definite speed and class of the race, has a win over the track here too.
Caprice – rallied first time stateside going a shorter distance, will love this marathon trek.
Jive – this distance loving plodder can grab a piece late, no early foot.

Race #9

Winning Point (Best Bet) – needed last race going out for new connections, returns sprinting today.
Sumthingtotalkabt – out-of-town invader goes turf to dirt, may get over looked in the betting here.
Grace Happens – faced much tough in last on the grass, another that fits well here…at a price!

Race #10

Smart Enuf – like the way this one broke his maiden last time out, doesn’t meet world beaters here.
Sammy’s Toy – second best last time out at this distance & company.
Piazza Di Spangna – rallied for third last time out at 30-1, exotic factor in this spot.
Kettle Two – came from another “time zone” last time out to win, back in allowance conditions.
