Bartletts – just missed to 54-1 longshot last time out, gets the job done today.
Counterspy – drops from maiden special weights for the “Chief”, been facing tougher.
Outoftheslammer – showed the way at Gulfstream in March before going on the shelf, drops to maiden claimer today.

Race #2

Gem for Hook – 2nd best behind runaway winner in debut, connections having good Spa meet.
By the Sky – Barclay Tagg / Sackatoga connections that brought you; Funny Cide, a look to the future?
Taxadame – draws the rail for debut, cross-entered at the “Flakes” today also.
Superfecta includes: Pals First Lady & Alexandra’s Halo

Race #3

Discreet Treasure (Best Bet) – dueled with winner last time out from the rail, this one’s got a lot of talent like his brother; Discreet Cat.
Tend – 2nd best going seven panels here in last start, may have needed that race.
Just Julian – turf to dirt for this very expensive yearling, blinkers off today.

Race #4

Stud Muffin – rallied with weird trip last time out against several of theses, turns the tables today.
Dr. D.F.C. – scratched from his date with Curlin on Saturday, much easier spot today.
Johnie Bye Night – speedster was runner-up opening week in the slop sprinting, stretches out his speed today.


Race #5

Sweet Bama Breeze – encountered traffic trouble as lukewarm favorite last start, tough if draws into the race today.
City Broad – first time on grass off layoff for crafty trainer, dangerous at a price here.
Meese Rocks – even effort in debut here, improvement expected.
Superfecta include: Welcome to Wista

Race #6

Ardnavagh – sharp victory in optional claimer last time out, steps up slightly but is sharp.
Panthera Tigre – won optional claimer by a nose sprinting, claimed out of that race & stretches out to a mile for sharp connections.
Cobblestone Way – set the pace at this level last time out, the one to catch.
Superfecta include: Higher Incentive

Race #7

Don’t Fooli Houli – exits maiden victory downstate going seven panels on the weeds, tries shorter today.
Linda Rice (entry) – C.T. Phone Home wire to wire win on dirt & now tries grass, Bar City weakened late last time out at this level.
Iron Curtain – rough trip as the favorite last time out, can make amends today.
Superfecta include: Lyke a Hurricane

Race #8

Dynaforce – nailed at the wire in the grade I – Diana Handicap in last start, big class edge here.
Lamentation (Longshot) – interesting shipper from Italy, watch the board on this one.
Tejida – speedy mare may control the pace from the inside, winner here last summer.
Saver: Palmilla

Race #9

Hellvelyn – been looking for a spot with this European import, fits well in this group.
English Colony – hasn’t been seen since last Fall, was really sharp last summer & may come out running today.
Natural Seven – never out of the money in these turf sprint races, a very intriguing race.
Superfecta includes: Silver Timber & Our Friend Harvey

Race #10

Munnings – sharp maiden win first time out, gets a slim edge off that effort here.
Desert Party – sharp victory on a sealed muddy track here in the Sanford Stakes, may be a good one.
Break Water Edison – even 2nd in the Saratoga Special last time out, bullet work for this effort.
Superfecta include: Cribnote

Race #11

Paisano Creek – returns off of December layoff and drops to maiden claimer for Clement, watch the board.
Gemology – foreign invader first time stateside for Pletcher, gets lasix for American debut.
Skywire – even third in debut at Tampa Bay this winter, switches barns from Clement to Weaver.
Buddha Power – comes off long layoff and tries the grass today; tough race to end the Spa meet.
